Kevin Luten, Director

Kevin Luten

Kevin is a transport planner specialising in integrated transport and land use planning and sustainability-oriented behaviour change programs. He has designed transport and environmental solutions for a diverse array of government and business clients in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. 

He is a leading facilitator of public-private partnerships providing on-going implementation platforms for sustainability and place management initiatives. Kevin currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the Transport Demand Management Institute, is on the Australian Advisory Board of the International Cities, Town Centres & Communities Society, and is an international ex-officio member of the Board of Directors for the International Downtown Association. 

He has a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from the University of Colorado.



David Meiklejohn, Senior Sustainable Transport Planner

David Meiklejohn

David is among Australia’s leading travel behaviour change professionals, with over 15 years’ experience specialising in travel behaviour change across a variety of settings, including workplaces, schools, educational institutions and communities.

He has worked with governments in Australia and New Zealand to build their capacity to deliver travel behaviour change projects, developed strategy papers for state governments in New South Wales and Victoria, and played was responsible for the establishment and development of the TravelSmart Workplaces program at the Department of Transport in Victoria. One of his key achievements at the department was the development and implementation of Access Melbourne, Australia’s first transport management association (TMA) in the Melbourne CBD.

He has a Master of Environmental Studies degree from the University of Adelaide and is currently studying his Ph.D at RMIT in Melbourne, focusing on the effectiveness of local government behaviour change programs responding to climate change.



Ronald Soh, Graphic and Web Designer/Producer

Ronald Soh

Ronald is a professional web designer and interactive media specialist with over 6 years of experience. His key strengths are the development of highly creative and engaging documents and presentation materials, utilising a variety of graphic design techniques and software tools. 

He is also experienced in developing alternative approaches for presentation of scientific data. In addition, he has considerable expertise in designing innovative and user-friendly web sites, providing graphic design for print, and branding and identity services for organisations and initiatives. 

He has a Bachelor of Design degree in Multimedia Design from Swinburne University, Australia.



Asim Hussnain, Manager of Programs Insight and Evaluation

Courtenay McGill

Leveraging thirteen years of diverse professional experience, in industries ranging from information technology to agriculture, Asim has provided UrbanTrans with exceptional capabilities in data analysis. He develops tools and systems to collect and analyse data, streamlines process, and thus enables the company to achieve maximum efficiency and impact from its programs.

Asim is a successful intrapreneur (and an aspiring/reluctant entrepreneur) with track record of rolling out multiple initiatives at different organizations. Innovation is his strong suit and he takes pride in being recognised for 'thinking radically crazy'.

Asim’s chosen purpose in life is “to promote peace and prosperity for people and the planet”. He has worked on microfinance, microenterprise development, impact investing, food incentive based development and feed-the-future projects. His work has taken him across cultural and continental boundaries in Asia, Middle East, East & North Africa and the US. As a self confessed sports nut, Asim is well placed to overcome any cultural differences thrown his way by his recent move to Australia.

Asim is an Acumen Fellow and Nuffic Fellow, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and holds an MBA and BS (Computer Science).



Courtenay McGill, TravelSmart Communities and Behaviour Change

Courtenay McGill

Courtenay joined the UrbanTrans team in 2014. She has experience delivering social behaviour change interventions in the areas of health, transport and environment.

Previously, Courtenay worked on the TravelSmart behaviour change programs with the WA Department of Transport. Through TravelSmart Communities, Courtenay was involved in multiple aspects of Your Move Cockburn a community-based program helping 10,000 households to lead more active and connected lifestyles. As part of the TravelSmart Workplaces team, Courtenay assisted in supporting workplaces to find sustainable travel solutions for their clients and employees.

Courtenay has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology from the University of Western Australia.
