Kevin Luten, Director

Kevin Luten

Kevin is a transport planner specialising in integrated transport and land use planning and sustainability-oriented behaviour change programs. He has designed transport and environmental solutions for a diverse array of government and business clients in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. 

He is a leading facilitator of public-private partnerships providing on-going implementation platforms for sustainability and place management initiatives. Kevin currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the Transport Demand Management Institute, is on the Australian Advisory Board of the International Cities, Town Centres & Communities Society, and is an international ex-officio member of the Board of Directors for the International Downtown Association. 

He has a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from the University of Colorado.

 


 

Joanne Gladding, Project Manager and Behaviour Change Designer

Joanne Gladding

Joanne is a one of the senior member of the UrbanTrans team. With a background in psychology and pharmacy, She has played key roles as a Senior Health Coach in delivering Your Move Cockburn, HBF Active Connect, and ActiveSmart Wheatbelt. Most recently she has been a team leader and assisted in the project design, delivery, and administration of Your Move Wanneroo, and ActiveSmart Wheatbelt. In 2017, she has co-supervised the delivery of HBF Pair Up, Your Move Central and the coaching team.

She is passionate about the role that behaviour change projects have in terms of preventative health and in shaping sustainable behaviours as regular lifestyle choices and habits. Through her time at university and working as a Health Coach, Joanne has developed skills in Motivational Interviewing. These skills allow her to successfully engage and build rapport with members of the public, whilst helping them to find intrinsic motivation to discuss, set, and achieve their goals in order to achieve sustainable behaviour change.

Joanne has a Bachelor of Science degree at The University of Western Australia, with a double major in Psychology. She then spent an additional year undertaking research in nutritional neuroscience at The University of New South Wales, graduating with first class honours. She hopes to continue working in the health promotion industry to educate members of the community and help them achieve healthier, more fulfilling lifestyles.

 


 

Ronald Soh, Graphic and Web Designer/Producer

Ronald Soh

Ronald is a professional web designer and interactive media specialist with over 8 years of experience. His key strengths are the development of highly creative and engaging documents and presentation materials, utilising a variety of graphic and digital design techniques and software tools. He has been a core member of the Urbantrans team from day one, reflecting the prime importance of design and well-integrated technology applications in the company’s approach to travel planning and behaviour change.

He is also experienced in developing alternative approaches for presentation of scientific data. In addition, he has considerable expertise in designing innovative and user-friendly web sites, providing graphic design for print, and branding and identity services for organisations and initiatives. Ronald has lead all technical and design support for project across wide range of industries in transport, residential, workplaces, engineering and educational sector for private and government and local sectors

He has a Bachelor of Design degree in Multimedia Design from Swinburne University, Australia.

 


 

Asim Hussnain, Manager of Programs Insight and Evaluation

Asim Hussnain

Leveraging thirteen years of diverse professional experience, in industries ranging from information technology to agriculture, Asim has provided UrbanTrans with exceptional capabilities in data analysis. He develops tools and systems to collect and analyse data, streamlines process, and thus enables the company to achieve maximum efficiency and impact from its programs.

Asim is a successful intrapreneur (and an aspiring/reluctant entrepreneur) with track record of rolling out multiple initiatives at different organizations. Innovation is his strong suit and he takes pride in being recognised for 'thinking radically crazy'.

Asim’s chosen purpose in life is “to promote peace and prosperity for people and the planet”. He has worked on microfinance, microenterprise development, impact investing, food incentive based development and feed-the-future projects. His work has taken him across cultural and continental boundaries in Asia, Middle East, East & North Africa and the US. As a self confessed sports nut, Asim is well placed to overcome any cultural differences thrown his way by his recent move to Australia.

Asim is an Acumen Fellow and Nuffic Fellow, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and holds an MBA and BS (Computer Science).
